Open Plan Rethink

In this design challenge our designers were tasked with helping Kyle with his forever home. Kyle was unhappy with the layout of the open plan design. He isn’t a big fan of grey but he loves pink. He wanted to keep the existing art deco furniture as he adored it. Designers were encouraged to change up the colour scheme, rethink the ergonomics whilst retaining & elevating the art deco charm.

Before and After

The original living room idea combined the Art Deco style with grey wallpapered wall, gold furniture and a white rug.  The winning design evolved the Art deco idea to use silver trims and the pink colour, Kyle loved so much, including the pink corner sofa with matching cushions.  The addition of the pink distressed rug also furthered this brave art deco living room idea.  The change of the chambers to a lighter gray also lifted the room. The curtains have also been added sagely as they pull the different aspects of the room together.
