This challenge asked designers to provide Elena with some colour scheme inspiration for her new bedroom.  She had been busy maximising closet space but had run out of decor ideas.  Elena’s vibe is minimalist design. The interior designer’s job was to choose the perfect wall colour, floor choice & roman blind fabric. Then accessorise the rest of the room to suit this paired back, functional aesthetic.

Before and After

The winning designer created a contemporary bedroom minimalist design using neutral colours with black accents. The grey floor and neutral walls provide a fantastic backdrop to the room. We love the use of the black are lamp and black metal framed accent chair provide a great focal point within the room. The neutral bed is complimented beautifully with the striking wall decor and side table with contemporary table lamps, the mirror over the storage cabinets is also delightful. A well considered minimalist bedroom design, with the right amount of accessories to make it interesting, not cluttered.

We particularly like the dresser area with the opal lamps and black rings mirror and cartel AHA stool. We love how this design shows how room layouts and decor can be developed using the Room Creator Interior design App.
